I've got em on my 9 and love em, both on the track and road they're great. get the option of a 190/50 or 190/55 rear also, due to the 10 having the 190/55 standard.

I rather like my Qualifier's, and got almost 8k out of a rear, doing the normal stuff  , which is pretty good mileage on a 12.

Mike - Check with the dealer, you may find that the OEM Qualifier's are not the same as the ones you get off the shelf ? Its worth checking anyway.

OK Neil, you sound like you know what you are talking about, how about you enlighten the rest of us and explain all about lateral loads, tyre loading, gyroscopic effect, spring rates and damping rates - as a starter.

You may be able to educate some of the members about the finer points of suspension adjustment and effects on handling. This would be beneficial for those people who don't have your understanding or knowledge.

Over to you mate.

Did she leak and shut down for no apparent reason when he rides her?

neil please dont start another suspension lecture as thet are covered elswhere , in way too much detail , on this and every other forum.

opinions on suspension are like arseholes everybody has one . and some are plain shit.....

this was about tyres .

i got qualifiers on my 12 , bought of a 10 owner who didnt like em , they were as new.

so far done 1500 k's and they are about half gone, as gosling thing can get 8000 ks from a rear , well either he rides in a dress or we have different styles.

there is so much that will effect tyre wear , pressures , aggressive acceleration or braking , bike and rider weight even suspenspion settings.

so there is no one super tyre that will suit everybody.

so just buy them and try for youself , opinions should be listened to but not always accepted as "gospel"

so there

Hey Fab, are your Qualifiers the OEM ones of the other guys 10? If so they are different from the over-the-counter ones that are imported from the USA...so you can't really compare them too closely.

...and I ain't commenting on what Gos weares when he rides sometimes, except to say a dress might be preferable

I tried a set of qualifiers. (the OEM ones of someone's racebike which were never used) the OEM ones are supposed to be a bit better in the life stakes, but I only managed to get 2500 out of a rear. Grip is great, much like a pilot/BT014/M3, just life is a lot less. Fecked if I know how Gos gets 8K from a rear on a 12! He must have 420 Psi in it!

#1 - I don't ride in a dress, the hem's get caught in the wheels and get all that yucky pooey chain lube all over them ...... :x

#2 - 42psi in the rear is *just* fine for the sports-barge.....

#3 - At 8k, it was splitting down the centre, and fully resembled the stretch mark on a pregnant belly at the bitter end of the 3rd trimester..... wear marks were gone at 5k, I am just a scab and won't change a tyre because its fuckin' WORN - HARDEN THE FUCK UP YOU PUSSIES !!! :P

#4 - Having said that, I have always managed to get very good mileage from tyres, and it is all about riding style. I have a very genteel style, barely moving my sports-barge from a perfectly upright position, it never sees those higher gear-ratios ( who needs more than 3 gears anyway  ), the tacho has never been over 3000rpm, and I observe posted limits at all times. My rear tyre is just one big Kishy strip ....

I can also highly recommend Continental ContiTour for the rear of your older sports bikes, in the highly-competitive sizing of 120/90 x 18.

Got about 5 years from the current rear, its looking good for another 5 !!
