if you go back through the thread you will see what the dicussion was about. its all there. check pages 1 and 2.

I think you will find that they were discussing if it was worth adding a PC5 and full exhaust to a road ZX6r.

2010zx6r, what rearsets did you go with, were they worth the money? I have the same bike and am wondering what next to blow my money on 8)

Has anyone had Terry from Shock treatment set up their bike? I'm thinking it could be a good thing to do as I haven't changed any settings from standard, but I don't know if I'm wasting my money with the lap times I'm doing. I'm booked in for my third track day in April at EC, but I only managed a couple of 1.55's when I had a clear run, otherwise I was hovering around 1.58-59 with traffic in the yellow group :( So probably have a long way to go yet before I outride what I have.

If you are in Sydney, check with Zenodamper. He spend a bit of time on Riding Fireys zx6 experimenting with different set ups. He would be worthy of a chat. He did Blurrs zx6 for racing in formula extreme which also uses stock equipment, so knows what's needed.

+1 re zenodamper!! He's doing my bike atm (ZX6R 09) too! But I'd take it to him even if just to have him set up the OEM suspension properly for you.

So I'm flirting with the idea of upgrading my akrapovic slip on and link to full system as I have found full system fairly cheap. Then I would need to install PCV. I would then sell my current exhaust which would make it just that little bit cheaper. Or just stick with what I have and use cash on more track days?

Comes to one thing, are you hungry for more power(around a track) or does the bike fell soft?you are the only one that knows what you really want ;)

If he's doing 1:55s and he wants better laptimes like he said he does, only suspension will make a serious impact. Especially if he get someone to work on the rear shock.

Couldn't agree more. That's why all I can do is to give him my ADVICE... if I had the option, I'd give him an order tough! hahahahaha

Seriously though, I have the same bike and I did most 'more power' mods on it so unlike most times, I'm not talking out of my arse here. Suspension is what really gives you the best lap times on this bike.

I knew that even before I bought all the stuff like full exhaust and whatnot but it doesn't matter how much you plan, life will always have the final saying. And when I was offered a full exhaust and a few other bits and pieces for what I considered to be VERY cheap if I bought it all together, I decided to put the suspension on the back burner for a while.

After installing everything, the thing that stood out the most was that the OEM shock is now struggling even more than it did before... Sure, it has more power and that's always fun but if I had to choose ONE THING to do on the ZX6R, suspension would be it. And if I could choose more than one, I'd also start with it!
