Yep you can do -
lap timing
60 foot times
1/8 mile
1/4 mile
1000 meters
1 mile
0-100 kph
80-120 kph
0-200 kph
100-200 kph

I have had good results with race chrono on my 6110 navigator at the creek using just the internal gps receiver when i tape it under the pillion seat (no good at all though using the internal gps when it was in the pocket in my leathers) you can view the data on the phone but its a bit limited i'd recommend downloading the performance box software there is a link to it from the race chrono site. The 6110 also has free gps navigation and i can blue tooth the voice instuctions to my cardo scala headset.

Found a cool site to upload your KML files and draw maps, seeing I couldn't host it anywhere and get it to work in Google maps:

http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input

I'll get this export thing sorted I guess, but I suppose you can look at lap times on the phone and then download the stuff if you really want to yeah?

Want a stopwatch on your phone?

I have a Sony w810, but this software should work with most phones. i know this works on nokia E71s too....

On your phone - goto the following internet web address. http://www.tevero.no/espace/stopwatch/download.htm

Scroll down a little bit and click on the .jar link as shown below.
MIDP 2.0 Stopwatch rev. 1.1:
JAR only: stopwatch11midp2.jar

Your phone will ask you some questions, just continue and install the software, it's safe and works well.

You'll have to read the settings to learn how to use it but it allows you to time up to 5 separate racers at once with lap timing showing fastest laps etc..
If you don't have the web on your phone you'll have to download it onto your PC and install via your phone software etc..

Just been told by the dude who I bought my GPS receiver off that he pauses the session between track day sessions and doesn't create new ones. The one and only time I used it I had a new session for each of my 20 minute stints. How do others do it? What are the pros and cons? Obviously you can get an easy optimal lap by comparing sectors for the whole day at once, but what's the other benefits of pausing racechrono between sessions instead of starting afresh?

Ta.

Pause the sessionand only start a new session on a new day.
- no need to relink the GPS
- comparing laps
- getting a more refined optimal lap
- less files to search through when looking back.

cant think of any cons :?

Bit of a thread revival here seems as though there are a couple of GPS questions still out there ..

It seems that the more I read, the more people are saying that only Nokia seem to support this software (RaceChrono) . .

However, I have just downloaded this to my Samsung Omnia i900 running WM Proff 6.1 and it seems to be working just fine ;) It picked up the internal GPS, showing available sattelites etc ... Havnt actually "trialed" it but sure there would be no prob.

Obviously an external GPS device would be alot more acurate, but at least those with phones other than Nokia may still be able to run it. :D

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

 yeah, its been available for windows mobiles for 6 months...go hard richo !!

Also, use an external gps, internals are a waste of time..no where near as good.
