maybe coz SBS (and I might add EBC)
wanna flog their new 'Ceramic' range of pads
...for use on road or track goes the blurb

or maybe coz... and I heard this a long time a go....
sintered pads can 'weld' themselves to STAINLESS STEEL
rotors if used in racing or extreme applications
(something to do with the copper or other metals
in the pad mixture)
doesn't happen with steel cast iron or grey (nodular) iron rotors
..apparently!

still
I would like to find out

cheers

my friendly dealer sez....
GPx600 use the same front pads as GPx750R

that might help the search

also remember that there are pads for the front and the rear, same physical shape, just the rears are alwys ceramic, the fronts can be ceramic of some other funky material. though ceramic will do for most normal needs
