Waiting for delivery on the forks etc. Just have to make sure I get the length right on the braided lines as they have to be 3 or 4" longer than the 6.
Mine are a little short ATM on the Zed with the wide bars, so I may just get 2" longer than Zed. You doin twin line or 3 with over front wheel?

I'm also gonna wait until I have everything in place before I order the spacers and caliper bolts. Some forums say the calipers will be ok with standard positioning and others say spacers and longer bolts.

Just playing a waiting game ATM, I've got 2 fractured ribs and the quack has told me no bike riding for a while, so it ties in nicely with modding

Yep, thats where I got the majority of the info for my swap incl the part numbers. With the brakes I have 2 separate lines for the front from MC to each caliper, I got std length Z1000 lines + 75mm. I have stock bars as well though.

I have longer HT bolts and custom made aluminium spacers, the 60mm OE bolts would not be long enough . I am going to try and get some cap heads, I have hex head bolts ATM but they are close to the caliper and would mean some sockets may not fit.

The 6 forks are 40mm longer than the Z ones, I had mine shortend by 10+mm and they are 25mm through the clamps. You may want to check this out on yours as well. My forks have also been re-sprung (9.5kg now), and revalved as well.

Yeah I have noticed a lot of guys runn them set about 25-30mm above the top yoke. Hopefully I can get the bars in without touching! Don't forget I have a crazy 40mm lift kit in the back so it wouldn't be that bad if I ran 15-20 mm above stock on the front. Bit more motard ish! I know one thing ya don't have to worry about the zed problem of ground clearance on anything. I had to have my link pipe on the chain side modified cus when the ass end was lifted the chain was waaaay to close to the pipe.
Mate If it was too easy everyone would do it lol.

Spacers are 10mm, and I didnt get a chance to get down to Southern Fasteners, if I get a chance Monday I will and let you know, pm me your mobile no and I'll txt yo if I can get them

I do like the blacked out look, am considering doing it to the rad and frame covers and the side panel. Then again with the Mrs just about to pop I may just sit back and ride for a while. lets face it, its not like I need to do anything to them

9.5, but I need 10mm more oil I think. We went the low side to see how it was - needs the extra as the brakes are awesome

Ahhhh.. Sounds about right then as the std 07 zx6r forks have .87 kg/mm springs and checking the racetech site for 100kg rider and 210kg bike 1.0 kg/mm springs are recommended..

Mine have been re-valved as well, so hopefully with the 9.5kg spring and the extra oil they should be schweet. Pity I wont have a chance to do that before the track, oh I mean road-with-no-cops day on Sunday.
