BP Gold is only sold at really big BP outlets. You should give BP a ring and they will tell you which outlets sell it. Its the biz !
Not real sure about the Shell equivalent, its a high-octane blended with ethanol.....

I used it 'once' in the MFP12, and it made no appreciable difference.
But AvGas ??? It makes all the difference, especially if your engine is already a reasonably hi-comp motor that can benefit from using a higher octane fuel. I used AvGas in the 2001 season, when racing the Black Pearl, and the pistons in that engine had been modified to give about a 11:1 static compression. The bike ran really 'crisp', throttle response was heaps better, much better than running normal 95 octane pump fuel.
After January 1, all you will need to do to buy AvGas from a supplier, is show them you are a current member of a motorsports club that has a leaded fuel exemption. It might cost $40 a year to be a member of the local Bucket racing club ? That is your ticket to AvGas.....
