fault occurs in these parts in line with all the bits of legislation ..the vehicle maker (or its representatives
..read licenced dealers) warrants to act on the purchaser's behalf to have these faulty parts replaced.

And so what about things such as switchgear, fasteners, bearings, cables, rubber grommets, guages etc etc etc that are outsourced and merely added to the completed product in house by the manufacturer?
It is a Tyre fitted as OEM that has traveled an unreasonable distance before failure. It is listed as a Kawasaki genuine part and has failed due to poor construction or a fault with materials. I don't know that I would be sweet talking anyone. A Small tantrum would be the least of my efforts.

Yeah Im on pretty good terms with Ron so Ill chat to him. I mean its not the dealers fault so Im not going to go off at them. But Id expect them to back me up and have a dig at the replacement! Ill see next week...

The guys at Flywheels have a good rep. from what I've seen and heard from here. Have a chat to them first, Kwaka Aus just seem like a pain in the ass so i hope (I'm sure they will do what they can) they can get it sorted.

you miss my point....
whats in the fine print in Kawasaki's owners manual dictates what happens.

I agree with you but unfortunately this 'fine print' may not seem fair and reasonable
when something breaks..or the thing breaks down but they are part of the terms
and conditions under which you bought the bike (or car)
so
you have to use it to your advantage..Read the fine print and see what it sez to do
when you are pursuing a manufacturer over a warranty claim

It's early days of course and this is the first tyre problem so far noted with the new Ninja 250. But what if there are further? It would be important to note how the problem is dealt with in regard to this case as it may set a precedent. The U.S. market is of course far larger than our own and far more litigious and so it may be interesting to see if this is an anomaly or a recurring issue over the next few months.

No worries, the flywheels guys are great, there's no reason to get stuck into them, I'm sure they'll have a dig for you, Kawasaki on the other hand, if they don't come to the party let 'em have both barrels but give them the opportunity to fix it first.

The dealer tends to be the meat in the sandwich in these cases, though I know some don't make much effort. Scot Walker was the dealer for my Aprilia and I recall they turned in their Aprilia franchise due to many unsatisified warranty claims by the importer (at least so he told me).

Just thought Id let you all know, Kawasaki replaced the tyre under warranty after I emailed them a pic last friday. Craig at Flywheels rang me to say that they had seen the pic, asked him what he thought (which was the block splitting) and they gave him the go ahead to replace the tyre!

Very happy with both Kwaka and Flywheels!
