Pilot sport are shit,pilot road well they would want to be softer on the sides as the original roads wernt the best in the twisties.go the m3s and if ya dont like them i will be surprised

I've had Pilot Powers and M3's on the 10 and I reckon the M3's are a better bet. They seem to be lasting longer as well.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

My ZZR's still got a Power front, Road rear.
I killed a Pilot Sport front in less than half the k's the Power's done (currently ~11500) and the ZZR's problem is lack of clearance, not rear grip. The Power makes the steering feel weird at low speed, but that goes away when you get going. It's a decent combination for longevity.
Now I don't get out as much I care much less about longevity and therefore opt for softer tyres. The 9 likes Shinkos.

NO NO NO thank you all!!!! I did have a pilot sport on the rear originaly when I purchused the bike, it was fantastic but it lasted about 5k Klm the road has given me 16k Klm, might get a sport and try out the M1s, keep the sport for a track,(If I ever get to do 1) lets go riding

It all depends on how hard you ride, if your a bit soft then your tyres dont need to be but if you think your hard 
a softer tyre is probably better.
But you shouldnt expect to get the kms out of a soft tyre that you do out of a hard one.
my bike came with Dunlops on it standard but i wasnt happy with the level of traction, im real happy with the traction of the pilot power on the front and pilot power HPX on the back but i tear them apart pretty regularly. havent had any pucture problems that wouldve been any different for any other tyre though. Does a tec-srew at a drag meeting count
