could be the stator (genrator of power) or it could b working fine and the reg/rect isnt lowering charge like it should..

seriously if it is overcharging i would expect the stator is doin its job..

Stator is burnt like toast got a quote from pro kawasaki for the replacement oem part $734.00
find a part came back with 1 in melbourne for $200 + postage
Local call around to wreckers zilch
until I contacted a local bloke who provides a rewind service $220.00 including warranty and he'll check the reg out as well will take a week to get it back so no bike for 2 weeks have to cage it to work
Ebay 1 in germany $138.00au and still going
1 in the us

yea i had a sim prob wen u dropped the blade..
it was $600 for a new one, or $200 to rewind, but if the rewind doesnt work good ur rooted..
