superbike supply has a great price on PC3's...

i was looking to get one from the US (save abt $50) but apparently the software and shit is different, to avoid ppl buying internationally.... so i heard..and also warranty is void...

Do not buy a PC111 from o/s. It will void your bike warranty if any left and also no warranty on PC i think.. TTC knows the exact conditions.. :D

Power commander is same, the software is different, correct maps can be loaded or done through a dyno.
Major issue is that if your power commander fails, you have to return it to point of sale for repair. The aussie distributor can fix it but are under no obligation whatsoever to do it for free if you've bought it from overseas, and they will charge you.. and it's more than what you save buying it O/S.

Crazy to run that risk when Superbike supply does them so cheap.. Also if you buy it through Serco (aus distributor) we have maps that we can load onto the p/c to suit what mods you've done to the bike. They're about 95% perfect as each bike is different, but this they will do for FREE.
All you have to do is tell them when you order it and they will load it for you.

The up to date stuff on the bike warranty is that it is ok, as long as the aftermarket part doesn't cause the breakdown.

I have always thought that the the PCIII USB is *exactly* the same, wether you buy it here in Oz or from e-bay in the US. The manufacturer is in the US, he sells them wholesale to Serco............who then sell them to Aussie punters...........I would bet my house that Power Commander don't make a special *Oz* version of the PCIII USB.....

Whats the difference in the software ?

My dyno place said the same as you about loading the maps onto a PCIII, apparently the Serco computer actually runs the dyno down here and sets up the mapping as the bike is being run on the dyno.....

The price difference these days is pretty negligible bewteen US e-bay and direct from here in Oz, it wasn't like this a couple of years ago :x the Aussie importers must have woken up and smelt the roses.......

The difference is that we have the Euro spec bikes, vs the US specs.

OK, I guess the US bikes have some funny shit happening with exhaust emission stuff as well, especially the California models... :? I know when I was researching the Yoshi system, a lot of material referred to 'Cali' spec bikes and '49 state' bikes......California bikes have a charcoal canister in the undertail of a lot of bikes !! :x

I am hangin' for the next $20 dyno day here, will get an idea of how much extra ooomph the PC and 'zorst has released.........

The place that done the 12 Dave, and will be doing the 14 has the dynojet dyno which maps the PC as its dynoed. http://www.dynoverks.com.au
