You questioned his ability to tune suspension, without any knowledge of the bloke (as admitted in your answer FFS  ) or his abilities as a rider (multiple Australian champion) or as a suspension expert.

That is more than an opinion, it is in fact slinging shit at him. Perhaps if you had spoken to him, or had any knowledge of his expertise, your opinion may be somewhat different ?

NeilP wrote:......You mention high and low speed circuits on your suspension??? ...All cartridge type suspension have this as standard....

This is absolute frogshit. You even admitted this in your next post ...

NeilP wrote:.....Please show me a Japanese bike with high & low speed compression....on the front forks?.....

so which is it mate ? Firstly, all cartridge forks have high and low speed compression circuits, and then all of a sudden they don't ?

What they have is compression and rebound damping adjustments. The majority *do not* have high and low speed compression and rebound damping adjustments, which is what Trevor Manley is going to modify on Strika's 9....

The reality is that some of your post contained partially correct descriptions only of the basics of suspension, and the chance to drop a name of some Fucati *expert* on suspension......but as a suspension *expert*, I guess his opinion about Kawasaki suspension is clearly more relevant than those suspension guys who work on Kawasaki's regularly ??

NeilP wrote:....I did mention in my post about cartridge type forks. If these bikes do not have cartridge type forks......

So you don't even know what type of forks are used in Strika's bike, however you feel qualified in some way to slag the bloke who is working on them ??? Give me a break. I would be happy to learn from someone who does know their shit about suspension, but only if they actually *know* their shit...........not dropping names or tricky things like......cartridge emulators

The whole world knows about cartridge emulators, FFS I got a set in one of my old Zeds for what its worth, but only because its *old* - the technology and quality of materials in most late-model Kwakka's is *really good*, and as others have said, you can do a real lot with the stock bits to make 'em work good.

I have never professed to being a suspension expert by a *long* shot (ask Ponti  ), however I am more than happy to learn from those that do know their stuff. Less bagging of people and more constructive and informed comments from you would be a good start.

Q. A bike travelling upright at 60kmh hits a bump that moves the front suspenion travel through 75mm.

How many mm will the front suspenion travel if the same bike hits the same bump at the same speed, but is cranked over at 45deg ??

If you know your shit, the answer to this will be *easy*

Well guys I am not going to continue to discuss this as this is obviously a no win arguement, everything you say gos and strika must be fact and never wrong and know all there is to be known about bikes, I am so sorry to have doubted anything you have ever said, please forgive me!

Wow, a bit of a turnaround from being adamant that I was babbling and that my statements were incorrect! Is it perhaps 1. Because you couldn't actually find anything incorrect and 2.Because you couldn't answer Gos' Question!

You started at us, not the other way around! :? Now that you have been logically proven incorrect, perhaps an apology would be the courteous way around it, rather than just more slagging off! I and I am sure I can speak for Gos on this one too, may have lived a few years and accumulated some knowledge, however I am sure neither of us at any stage have professed to be all seeing or all knowing!

You on the other hand, have continued to attempt to find holes in everything we have posted, and thus far have succeeded in doing little more than proving that you are nothing more than argumentative, with no fact to back up what you claim. Once again I'll ask you what are the incorrect statements I, and now Gos, have made, and which bits in particular are babble?????

If you had met me and knew me, I could then understand that you may not become my bestest buddy   or taking credence in what I write, however not knowing me, or knowing what information or knowledge I have, and then to try and criticise is a bit ignorant wouldn't you say!

Now, back on topic! I can't wait to try out the new forks with the modified Hydraulic bump stops!
