I had a mate who was like that. Skinny as a rake, and ate like a horse. I kept telling him that it would catch up with him sooner or later.
He's 30 now, and looks like an over-stuffed German sausage!

I used to be skinny to (Not that many people believe me). But that was before I started lifting weights and spending every cent I had on muscle building product. When I moved away from the country and to the big smoke I couldn't afford to go to the gym anymore, but my ridiculous appetite stayed with me... took a lot of hard work to get me down from the size I bloated out to. Now I like to stay, umm, "healthy". :lol:

jadeboi wrote:Not being a heavy weight like neka, (less than 60kgs), i don't think the makers of a lot of sports bikes had my in mind when they designed the bike. I'm riding an R6, and i know they are a little skitty, but the '03 model is better, trust me. Still i do have a bit of drama keeping the front wheel down, and keeping good front wheel traction in corners. So i've come up with an idea. It's a bracket that mounts to the sides of the front forks. It's 2mm perforated steel plate. You slip a house brick into each one, (left and right side) and they you have it. Immediate gain in unsprung weight! Even when riding 2up, i can keep that front wheel down. And when i want to go back to "normal" mode, i just take the bricks out.

Brilliant!!

May I suggest that thats what you get for buying a Yamaha !! :lol: :lol:

That said ive seen a Katana drag bike with diving belt weights on the front axle.

hmm 2 bricks hey? i layed a nice brick earlier..if that counts....all this talk of eating & bricks in the one topic, an no1 has mentioned http://www.ratemypoo.com (is it still goin jase??)...
ive spent 3 years trying to get weight off bikes,and put weight on myself..dunno why i just dont go on a diet, like jase...actually i should go on a diet like jase,donuts,cream buns & my ass will b fat too...
on a bike related matter (wot the fark is goin on here?) if u set up ur susp properly u shouldnt need a dampner...i use to get horrible head shake on the blade till i sorted the front out....funny story time...

i was out riding with BA one day (sydney based group) and decided to do my patented "ride saide saddle,put right leg on left peg,drag left leg on road" trick...(ok maybe i havent patented it)...neway im doin abt 100km/h both hands on bars, standin up on one leg and the front gets all light...she starts coming up..she starts shaking violently..i starting laying one of those bricks...i end up fully "superman" and manage my way back on the bike,still doin over 100kph..this is about mid pack in a group of abt 60bikes...2 of the guys behind me shit emselves so bad they were ready to pull over & scrape me off the road....piss funny now..but boy was i hiding a woody for a while ( i get a bit excited wen i get adrenalised)

first off, my metabolism is (or perhaps WAS like that) high, but im getting a bit older thou so maybe i ought to start being more careful about what i eat. I've never had stomach ulcer's though.

Have you considered working at a salad bar? perhaps at one of those new up-n-funky juice bars? ;-)

Damn, might have to start doing some physical activity... :roll:

Physical activity is good. I recommend starting out on some light aerobic stuff to tone, like riding your bike on a lower gearing on some pretty flat ground for a while as well as swimming (but not at the same time!). Then start introducing a bit of gym work after you've felt you've gotten healthier. Oh and eat healthier too, lotsa fruit, carbs & MEAT (YUM) and those once-a-day multi-vite vitamin suppliments for anything your missing out on.

I jumped from about what you are up to 72-75 and it was pure toned muscle stuff :-), only problem is with a high metabolism you have to keep the expercise up lest the muscle vanishes (took 7 months for me to loose 10 kilos back to 60-62 or so!)

Happy hunting.

Damn, now im thinking about me needing to go to the gym, i know i ought to....

gym instructor?

<OT>
What did you have to do to get into that if you don't mind my asking?

Only my gf's brother is a bit of a health freak and he seems half interested in being
an instructor, but never gets off his arse and sign's up for anything to get qualified and any
clues on what to point him to would be cool if you can help
</OT>

oh yeah, eating healthy helps a lot with feeling good :-)

Very bloody funny Mike, I'm sitting here on my arse in front of the fire right now. From here I can see two of my pushies and the Kwaka. Let me tell you, both pushies have flat tyres and are covered in dust, but the Kwaka is sitting there all clean and shinniny waiting to blast down to PI before sunrise tomorrow.

Just noticed, the 7 has got this engine thingy in too, and the foot pegs aren't connected to the chain either. :lol:

Me too. Got my final assessment next Thursday (and a ton of theory to get through before then....). Funny thing was, they never mentioned the effects of excessive alcohol consumption on general health. That would explain you appearing in every single GP photo with a VB in the hand, right Neka??! :lol:

So you planning on teaching aerobics then?
