Sell the 6 and buy a 10 or 12. Then you'll be asking what you need to do to keep the front wheel down.

Err, huh? Power wheelies on a 250 4-stroke may be a little bit hard, but shouldn't be an issue on any of the newish 6's.

Get it up to about 60kph in first, let the throttle off for just a squirt and then yank it open full..... No probs :)

Thing is theres a huge difference between a power wheelie and a nice controled slow balance point,or beyond, wheelie. The later only able to be achived by using the clutch!

Learn it the right way first. Take your time and learn to clutch up.

Meeow. Lets be petty and bring up things that happened while learning.

Mate I am no way a wheelie king. I was just getting the hang of cluch ups when I binned the Blade.
My point is some of you know what I get up to on my bikes, seen vids etc.

If all the people i talk to, people like Matt Mingay, Cameron Ambridge and most of Australia best stunters say clutching up is the best way to wheelie then I tend to agree.

As for lessons Nathan, sure but we are using you bike. :D

I have NEVER flipped a roadie... pure ars, NOT skill
Closes calls have included a 12 o'clock at speeds best not mentioned, no I never hit the back brake, the crunch would have initiated a sunami in Thailand....

BUT I did spend a month in hospital (before they would LET me leave) after flipping an MX bike on bitumen at speed.
For almost 3 months I had dressings between the cheeks of my ars
(and NO you DONT want to see the pics)
This was so they wouldnt grow together as they were down to the MEAT. Which was lucky (at first) as all the nerve endings were gone
As I was weraing nylon MX pants the inevitable wire brush made an appearance but they knocked me out for it :prayer:
But as they grew back the itching drove me mad (so THATS what did it  )
And you should try scratching your ars when it is bleeding all the time and see how ppl react
NO actually you SHOULDNT

I reiterate, monos are dangerous, you will more than likely flip sometime... or bust your nuts on the tank after a close one at least.
Learn on the dirt first on old XL250 or something you can throw away
You will still get hurt but keep SOME skin.
Bitument acts like a cheese grater for ars's

A good vid I watched recommended learning to power up before clutching up.

Clutching up was their preferred method but they reckon it's easier to learn the basics by powering it up.

Anyway, regardless of how you go about it, kids on the street love it when you do wheelies past them.
