wonder if it was the pilot power or the newer Pilot Power2 CT......

I am keen to get a set of those, as I don't think the Power Race's are gonna last much longer!

there's been talk of the pilot powers being prone to punctures, more so than other brands.. cant for the life of me remember why but i think it was something to do with carcass construction and materials used in tyre manufacture.. however ihavent had that many punctures, probably only 3 out of the 10 pilot power rears ive used.. i was on pilot sports first, then went to the metzeler M1 (hey phil), then diablo corsa.. for a while i thought nothing was better than the diablo corsa til i tried the pilot power.. that was 2 years ago and ive been stuck on them since.. think its been 10 PP rear tyres in that time.. (average 5-7000km each) not cheap but i think its worth it for the level of grip in most conditions.. in a way though, im not surprised the PP's didnt give the best laptimes, ive found them to get slightly greasy when run very hard (both on track and road) due to getting very hot but this hasnt really been a problem on the road.

I have heard rumors to this end also. It seems to be only a rumor as I have yet to have anyone show me statistics or proof of such.

Tyres seem to be a very personal choice, but at least we have a choice in this country, a lot of Euoropean countries have a law that states the bike must have original equipment tyres fitted always.

i got a puncture the other day , just from lookin at em .

all the belts have been removed from mine.

i can feel em flex under severe acceleration.

who really gives a toss ?

powers are round, black, sticky & do the job.

if ya dont like em , dont buy em!

but dont bag em as none of us are experts , despite what some of these wankers would have you believe.
