Fuelling Up

Postby 2008ninja » Thu Nov 26, 2009 8:11 am

Just wondering if there is a law that states you cant sit on ya ride while filling up at the servo.

A few weeks ago had the pump stopped on me and told to dismount before filling up. I looked at the Chick ( not bad looking by the way ) and told her ?????????

Havent seen any signs stating that this is law just her advice as she told me its all to do with static etc. But how can this be When my boots have rubber souls , both feet are on the ground and my gloves are leather ?

Any thoughts let me no.

Cheers Cwidova, But has only happened Once and where I dont normally fill up at. There are no signs stating this act and think maybe there should be. The only reason i do this is so I can fill my ride to the brim without having to tilt it up and then fill again, It's annoying, Can never get it to the brim when it's on its stand. :x

You're probably wasting time and money trying to fill it right up. I know on the 10 if I try that it just pisses the extra fuel you pay for all out of the overflow.

It's not good for your bollocks mate, they will probably self-immolate as soon as you open the tank.....

<Puts on serious hat> - NO there is absolutely no law whatsoever that prevents you from filling up while seated. <Takes off serious hat>.

So sad... so amusing...

2008ninja you fuel up however you want, but hopefully common sense will prevail. :)

at the servo there's often the offence in question on the "do's & don'ts" sign plastered everywhere on the servo site.

I don't think so mate - it was all done & dusted weeks ago.....

What I really want to know, is how I should jet my Z1000 when I ride it down the coast for a hamburger next Sunday ......and what about if it's raining, and the humidity is through the roof on the coast, but its all dry and dusty up here at Anarchy Road ??? I want to extract maximum neddies from my fine motorsickle, so the jetting *must* be perfect !!!

Throw a fist full of marbles down the oil filler, that'll sort her good.
