In the morning (5am, got to try to be quiet) )less than a minute but I do ride slowly for a couple of minutes.
after work it gets a few minutes before I ride it. But either way it would stall on me even when I would have ridden for a half hour, then stop for fuel and then go too take off and it would stall.
But I have found if I hold the clutch in for a bit longer it has no problems at all. Sometimes I get no thump/jerk feel in the bike at ALL when changing into first now.

My previous bike (TRX850) had a reputation for that exact thing and I nearly dropped it a few times taking off with it leaned over when it decided to stalled.

It's not the easiest thing to do, but drilling more holes in the clutch basket on the splines and in the base lets more oil circulate around the plates and and reduces the symptoms you are talking about. I had a proper yamaha released diagram of where to drill etc, but it's not rocket science and I didn't follow it exactly  Of course keeping the clutch open at the start and working it a few times to free up the plates and get some oil between them doesn't hurt either.

On Tuesday afternoon I had to move the bike 1km down the road, so I just hopped on and started it and tried to go without doing my usual warm up and the zzr stalled when I put her into gear, its never done that if I let it warm up a little, so best to let it warm up for a minute or so.

for what its worth, my old LTD450 used to frigging JUMP when i put it in 1st gear if it hadn't been ridden in about 12+ hours or so. This is with clutch in and front brake on as well. It had scared more than a couple of mates by doing that too
