Help identifying master cylinder and caliper for reco

Sat Nov 16, 2013 9:22 am

Hello to ye conglomeration of infinite Kawasaki wisdom,

I am trying to find reco kits for a Brembo master cylinder and Tokico 6 pot front calipers, however everywhere I have been couldn't recognise the model to get a kit (MCAS tried to tell me Brembo didn't make reco kits and I had to buy a new cylinder...)

If anyone can recognise these or suggest where I can obtain the parts to rebuild them that would be brilliant and you would have my undying gratitude and possibly a Kit-Kat at the Xmas track day. They're off a 98 ZX6 but are aftermarket parts.

I had a billet 19x16 Brembo radial master and I couldn't buy a seal kit for that. Yours looks like the cast version that a seal kit can easily be bought for. Just pop that seal off the top and look for a circlip. If there's no circlip you have the older version that can't be rebuilt unless it's sent back to Brembo....think you'll be fine though. Seal kits are plentiful and even on ebay. Should be about $50.

Here's an example from ebay

Can't help you with the calipers. I junked mine and replaced with Triumph Nissin's which work well with the 19x18 radial.

Shouldn't you be using the 19x20 with 6 pot calipers?

That is the forged Brembo MC ? If so here is the part number of it ( 10476070 )
The brake calipers look to be ZX7R 's .

I agree on the callipers. Definitely look the same as zx7r. I just rebuilt mine with a kit of eBay.
