Backyard cheapskate version, just use a small file and deepen the cable guide. Make sure it's smooth & doesn't snag the cable.

Or u could ride a gear higher, or go down 1 tooth on the rear sprocket

Thing is you have to keep a near perfectly constant radius which is just about impossible for backyard jobs, otherwise a consistent throttle twist doesn't equal a consistent throttle pull, which is a bit farkt.

agree that this would be difficult to do when filing a groove in a throttle guide....

but for backyard perfection as far as quick-action throttles are concerned - you can't beat 4th Dimension Products !!

(4mm wide section of the flanged end of some 20mm elctrical conduit, laser-cut with a hacksaw and accurate guesstimation. Works 100% and race-proven in the toughest tests  )

I bought a set of Rizoma aluminium grips for my previous bike (R1) and that came with a few different options for the throttle cam size to suit different manufacturers, maybe measure yours and have a look at one of their sets?!?

Want to slow your throttle down?
Buy a throttle tube off a 70's Honda Cb750.
They are cheap and bolt right in. The cam diameter is smaller than stock Kawasaki.
