Sydney Dyno Services

Thu Jan 12, 2012 11:45 pm

Can members please give me their recommendations for motorcycle dyno operators in and around Sydney? I'm thinking of doing the standard base test then fitting an aftermarket exhaust system. What sort of prices can I expect to pay? Any other tips? Thanks.

I can tell you NOT to use Motorcycle weaponry, bunch of amateurs that don't even know how to block off air injection, don't know that radiator hoses belong in the proper brackets as opposed to wedged up against hot headers, and will crack your plastics taking them off. Not only that but they'll tune your bike to the wrong AFR and screw up your wiring harness.

Motorcycle weaponry charge $360, BikeBiz charge $330... seems to commonly cost around that price, not bad for them, considering it takes all of an hour on a Dynojet 250i that a monkey can supposedly operate.

When you find a good one let me know, because every one I've tried has caused me no end of grief.

Try Craig at C and M at Ingleburn. He charges $70 for a single run, not sure what he charges for tuning etc though. I think he's pretty reasonable.

Beware though, he'll show you a heap of Dyno graphs to prove that he can get your bike running better totally stock with some fuelling adjustments then with Exhausts and Airfilters added. He mounts a fairly convincing case

What Glen said plus 1.
C&M at Ingleburn. Top place and Craig nows his shit. $280 for a full mapping service with 4 dyno runs. I was impressed. Made a real difference to bike and took 2 hours to do.

Thanks Guys. I normally use Flywheels at Alexandria for servicing. They also have a dyno but wanted to check out the market experience first. Anyone used Ron - they feature as a sponsor of KSRC?

Yeah I have on the trackbike. Im always really pleased with his service but I know he has staff issues sometimes so suggest you book in a definate time to have it done. I know his staff have let him down on occassion but Ron himself has always done the right thing by me and I continue to support Flywheels because of it 8)
