Stator ZX6RR 2003

Hi, first, please no wise cracks, my name sticks, and all my real problems with this bike all revolve around the f@#king charging system!!

I have just replaced the regulator/rectifier (yes, again) as I got a flat battery at the bike shop while getrting a new tyre fitted and they checked it and said that the rectifier was buggered (didn't offer to sell me one though so they werent trying to improve their bottom line). So i ordered and installed a new rectifier andit is still not charging. When I installed the new rectifier I noticed one of the wired close to the rectifier but going to/coming from the stator was cooked (near the rectifier only), so I replaced the wire (all soldered and insulated connections.

Anyway, like I said, still no joy (on the plus side I think I have a spare rectifier!!). I am 99% sure it is the stator so I am going to check this and have been told that the method is to cut all wires to the stator, leave the ignition off, then check using ohms on the multimetre for continuity and apparently should read around 10 for each test. Is this correct or is there a better method?

Thanks in advance

Also does anyone have one for sale - I can get a new one ex USA for about $130

Well bring the ZZR 250 listed in your profile, I don't wanna have to double you home  :kuda:

Come to oxley highway and Gingers Creek 15-16-17 April, only non-kawasakis fail on that ride

I'd be keen on the Gingers Creek run - will see how the $$ are going but def wouldn't get the Friday off (way to much annual leave taken this year chasing my girlfriend).

EC - never been to the track yet, again $$ related, one day!

ZZR250 taken off profile - sold that over a year ago!
