You look like you're out numbered and may need some help :D

Well, you kinda have to own a Kwaka (or two) first and then they may just let you stay when you move up in the world. But I think I can make you an honorary member! :D

BTW- I can hold my own on here!

Update on the long running saga for anyone who is interested-
the verdict is-
The Suzuki dealership where I bought BM from SUCKS!

Twice in the last few months i have had the bike in for the same issue (it is just twelve months old and done about 8000kms now.)
Their fix for the FI warning light flashing was to lube the cable.......

I got a little irrate about this and requested it be fixed properly. Bike went in last week.......

I waited about an hour- mechanic came out and handed me my keys- and said 'There ya go - fixed!' (At no point had they explained HOW they were going to fix it.)

I said- 'So, what did you do to my bike????'
Mechanic says- 'We disconnected the cable from the butterfly valve.'

So, BM and I ride away.......
For the first time ever I stalled twice on the way home!? :?

Now, I was told that disconnecting the cable would result in about 2HP less. (Not by the Suzuki mechanic though- he told me NOTHING!) But the differnence I feel is incredible! It feel like I have put a bad batch of fuel in it.

What to do? Get the cable reconnected and take it to another dealer?

AND NO I AM NOT TRADING IT FOR A KAWASAKI
(not just yet anyway)

Go on - you know you want to !! ;)

Seriously though - I'd be firing off an email to Suzuki's HO, asking if that is the accepted fix for the problem. If not, then get the dealer to fix it properly.
Have you had a look on any of the Suzuki forum's for a similar problem / fix ?
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Yes, I will do this today (now that I have internet back.)

I actually did a search on the net and printed off pages and pages of info on this. Amazing how the dealer played dumb like they had never seen the problem before until I produced evidence of the other 2000 bikes of the same model with the same problem.

The butterfly valve turns on start-up & stops on a rest which in turn tells the bike the butterfly is open (or is that closed?)... once this happens the FI light goes out, could be that one of the plastic cogs inside is broken etc whet they have done is wrong, it sounds like they needed to replace the whole servo box rather than just pulling the cables off.
With some slip on pipes, they come with an arm that replaces the & cable pulley, it turns & hits the stop causing the light to go out... problem solved.
Wendy it sounds like contacting the distributor would be the next step :?
