Z1000 PC3 Install Guide

G'day guys,

well finally its in! I received my PC3 in the mail today, which i purchased from SuperBike Supplys on the Gold Coast, cost $460 + Free postage. With the exchange rate as it is, probably the cheapest you will find.

Ah how here is a little write up with some pics for anyone who may do the same in the future! Even have a dyno run!

1.Here we have the PC3 out of the box with all the goodies that come with it. Nothing to flash here, few stickers, cables, guides everything you need.

2. This is were the fun begins, the diagram shows it in the ducktail section and pretty much makes sense as soon as you start ripping it apart! If you study the guide it iwll have directions on where to place the cables, but this is pretty general but you get the idea, nothing to difficult

3. As you can see here, on the clutch side of the bike, you need to lift up the fuel tank and look for a plug which looks like this. Its a bit of a prick to get out, without taking the fuel tank off, but just push it aside. Once you unhook it then pull it out form underneath.

4a. With those 2 stock plugs unhooked, the PC3's plugs will fit in place, make sure you run the cable under the fuel tank but so its not going to get pinched or squashed by any parts. Looking good!

6. Here is the bike hooked up to the PC and ready to run on the professional dyno!

7. This kept showing up when i was trying to load the downloaded map on... WTF, oh hang on read the instructions, you need a power source to the PC3, because turning on the bike will not feed power to the bike, it needs to be running IE lights etc etc.

8. Ahhhh Yes, thats why it came with a 9v battery connector. So you can power the PC3 and put hte maps on! Also had a bit of a thurst so a pint sized Bundy Beer fixes that

So there you have it, the instructions that come with the PC3 pretty much cover how to do it all, i just thought a few pics might add that little extra touch!
Now for a ride!
