wheel bearings

hey guys need to change my wheel bearings anyone gone to a local bearing shop instead of a kawa shop to get these and where they much cheaper and which shop did ya go to? cheers guys

Have you tried asking your dealer? Or are you just assuming they will be expensive? Get a quote from the dealer and then try your local bearing supplier. To get it right though you will need to either measure your bearings or provide the part no and manufacturer to your bearing shop. Dont be surprised when they dont have them in stock.

If you are after 250 wheel bearings they should have them at a much lower cost than ome. You may have to take the old ones in as a sample. Less than $50 for bearings and seals per wheel.

check number printed on bearing seal ie 6204 etc . Bearings are normally NSK , KOYO , CBC ,TIMKEN etc.. Bearing make is not really as important as the 4 digit number. Bearings are sealed type . 3 rear hub , 2 front.

yer called up some bearing places and quoted number and it was only $25 cheaper then what kwaka dealer quoted and thats with the seals the bearing place didnt have the seals i wanted :P so yer to my suprise they wernt as expensive as i thought compared to a bearing shop cheers guys
