04 ZX10R Front Forks

Postby Dyno » Sat Apr 19, 2008 8:50 pm

hey just wanna own if anyone else has had this prob.

had my bike for a while now and all is good. i rode it from Kalgoorlie to Perth doing a few wheelies on the way. still practising so i'm not getting them really high or long. now my fork seals r leaking, i have changed them myself all was good but one side had started leaking again slightly. oil level i measure correctly to gen tech manual. everyone i've talked to said it's unheard of a zx10r 04 with only 13000ks doing fork seals. i know the bike hasn't been dropped/stacked.

anyone done seals???

I might be wrong, but my guess would be the first set died as a result of the whole "I'm learning to wheelie" experience. The second set may have not suffered the same fate, or may not have been installed correctly. I wouldn't expect any bike used "normally" to exhibit these symptoms after that few km's.
