Postby ninjaboy13 » Sun Feb 24, 2008 9:37 pm

hey guys been a while since been back on here, been busy work life, riding etc but all good, just wondering got the 05 zx10r and just got the 18k service done got it back and notice one big difference the dam idle seems to be higher then usual at the lights. the sparkies were changed, filters etc u know how it is u ride it for that long u know the sound and i just know its running higher then usual, its heading back to the shop to get check but wondering wat r others r running at, i remember mine just been over 1 now its ranging from 1.3 to 1,5 and surging abit i heard its the ECU that regulates it, could it be the sparkies not been put in properly. will find out this week and hopefully nothing wrong.
been slowly pimping the bike up so will get some updated pics soon. :)

There should be a little black knob hanging just over your front sprocket cover, this is the idle adjuster....play with it until you are happy with the idle speed. I have mine set around 1,100rpm

Sounds like normal range to me. If it bothers you that much you should find a idle adjustment somewhere convenient...mine is a little grey knob that you can adjust located down to the left when I'm seated. Good Luck
