Bumped up the rear preload as well - it was only 1 click off the lowest setting - to one off max. whole setup feels a lot better in the garage. Not willing to test ride it yet as there is something unwell with the front brakes. That will be a whole other story

Why do the make those reservoir cap screws out of cheese?
Bahaha! Sorry ofr laughing, but I've been there too with Master cylinder reservior screws!!!

Yamaha wern't the only ones back then either!!!!
As for the brakes, they are prone to calipers seizing. Pull em apart, insert new seals and refit with new fluid! Should come up like new provided the M/C isn't cactus!
