Build a Super Motard

Postby Ben » Mon Nov 19, 2007 3:40 pm

Because I've sold the 9  was toying with the idea of a SM to play on, nothing to flash yet, just wondering who has built one or has any good info on doing it. Not sure wether to go 250, 450 or all out for a big banger, and it will still be green
cheers
Never hold in your farts. They travel up your spine, into your brain, and that is where shitty ideas come from!
I thought I saw your name on a loaf of bread today, but when I looked again it said 'Thick Cut'

Motards are an absolute blast, with sticky GPR proddy racing tyres they're almost untouchable in tight twisties (Reefton Spur comes to mind ;) ) a bit impractical though. Here's one I prepared earlier.
'02 XR 650 R, wheels/brakes are off an RGV 250. I've done quite a few of this type of 3 spoke wheel conversion on various bikes.

Plus a ZX7 & a few ZXR Ls & ZX9 Bs & Cs in various stages of completion.
