buzz noise coming from the front

Postby GForce » Fri Jun 15, 2007 11:50 pm

I dont know if this is normal but when i ride around 4k rpm, theres a buzzing noise due viabration of the engine. I know its coming from the front somewhere but cant figure it out. gonna take the bike apart tmw and hopefully ill find it. gonna take the tank off too, just in case loose bolts.

this a common thing with a zx6r? its not harming the bike but its just annoying

its possible that it is, i get a bit of an annoying vibe at 4500rpm, which is 100km/h in 4th (and 80 in 3rd), solutions i know of are
1) go faster
2) go up a gear,
unfortunately i had selected option 1 when i got nabbed by the cops :$.

i would want to know where any strange noise was coming from too. especially if it only just started doing it.
unfortunately i have no ideas what yours could be.
good luck. lets us know if you figure it out.

boyz i found the problem. a mate of mine told me that the air duct has a resonator and shit always fall inside. i undid the resonator and shook it around. a lil tiny rock was inside it and so when i revved it, it viabrated. problem solved. damn air intake is too big
