Postby WRT_GPX » Wed Sep 27, 2006 3:16 pm

yeah, when i drained my tank to the minimum left you can hear so much silt, its like hearing sand in a bottle. whatsthe easiest way to flush a tank? and yes its off the bike and the cap is unscrewed and off, so its just the tank left.

i just washed out my tank about a week ago or so.
all i did was pour some metho in to get the water out and threw the tank around a bit and then drained it. just take the fuel tap off and shake everything out. mite take a few times to get all the particles out.
bought myself a 1 litre bottle and then had to buy a 4 litre bottle.
i had a lot of rust in it and now its all gone. well the little particles are gone.
dont forget to let it dry after your done :D

haha, no no
u dont want water in your tank.
the metho dries out the water that u may have it in. and it also helps by moving around your particles and therefore u can just shake it around to get it out.

heh oh well, i used water, pressure blasted a bunch of crap out after removing the fuel tap, then ran some petrol around in it, now its hanging out in the sun for a day or two.

pulled apart and cleaned the fuel tap and the filters.

just waiting to get the tank dry.
