brake pad wear Q

Should i replace these pads :

im doing a track day soon so i dont really wanna run out of brakes :?

looks to be a fair bit of meat on them. Are they worn equally on both sides of each pad? if not, replace. If they are performing poorly compared to how they used to, replace. Otherwise i think they should be ok.

mate, you see that little groove in the brake pad material in the second photo ?

When you can't see the groove, thats when the pads will need replacing.

Yeah they shouldn't be unsafe or anything Mitch.

But for racing you want fresher pads. If they are half worn or more you will have more fade, something I am learning over and over lol.

those pads are fine...

before the track day it would be worth taking them out and seeing if they are at all glazed.. if so (or even if not!) give them a rub on some medium-grade concrete or sand paper till they look dull and rough (as opposed to shiney)... they will feel brand new again 8)
