New shock

Postby Bear » Wed Jan 25, 2006 11:24 am

Hi all,
Decided to replace the shock on the ZZR. Anyone had experience with Hagon ? $ 700 vs $ 1500 for an Ohlins but unsure bout the quality.
Your thoughts please people.

Cheers,
Mick. :)

600 or 1100?

If 600, I'm thinking about adapting a 6R/9R shock for mine. It's getting a little tired.

Hi Bear I know a place in the States where you can get an Ohlins under $1000 landed in Oz, PM me if you would like details.

Hey Bear, I'm sure my 11 would handle a lot better with a new shock too as they tell me the oem is rooted after 20k anyway. Please let us know how you go with the changeover.

Frank.

Bloke who owns MPE in Beerwah Qld. reckons that Racetech Gold valve emulator is the go for rear shock. They pull the standard shock apart and then fit the valving. I'm putting Gold Valve Emulators and springs in my forks tomorrow. If they work as good as they are supposed to I might give the rear shock conversion a crack too.
If a man says something, and there is no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?
