My clutch doesnt seem right when im riding it the gear changes always seem rough and when i change without the clutch there isn't much difference, It's not slipping at all,and the clutch lets out at the end of the lever stroke.
Sometimes if i dont time it right it will jump off the lights and almost stall??
It feels almost like there isn't enough movement from the clutch

just change the fluid mate...it gets cooked at the slave

You do understand that bike gearboxes are nothing like car boxes don't you?
You cannot get a smooth change if you let the revs drop.
You need to get used to a quick snick into each gear. Fan the clutch to take some load off the drivetrain and cliick it through.
You can experiment by putting upward pressure on the gear lever and while holding upwards just snap the throttle shut and open again. Enough to take the slack up in your chain.
If you pull the clutch in and let revs drop the click the gear it will never be smooth. It will slam into gear.
Give it a go and report back.
As for the. Clutch taking up at the end if the bike is old the clutch has a rod that runs through the engine and pushes the plates apart. This can wear after many years of use. But I doubt that's it.
Unless its grabbing while you have the clutch in, you be best just to get used to it.
If the clutch is snatchy, the. Maybe pull the plates out ( make sure you remember how the went ) and give the steels a rub with sand paper.

Just seemed a bit like posting on to to remedy low tyre pressures.
My ZZR used to do it......new plates....beautiful clutch

But with 20 years of riding experience and 10 of racing i'm pretty sure i can change gear properly!!

Check the slave cylinder. I have seen them get a notch in the piston which makes the clutch a touch eratic.
Don't worry about all the inane and smartarse comments mate. Some people have a habit of assuming.

I guess the difference is that Parto is asking a sensible and rational question, not an idiotic one.
Parto, if the slave cylinder is OK, pull the clutch cover off and check out the basket and basket prongs/forks. They can break over time and you might have a piece caught in it. I've seen those baskets completely fall apart. Matter of fact, I think at 80,000klms, the one in the Rex is near shattering.......

Strika your answering my questions just like i would expect from such a forum and going by your profile picture i recon you can ride ok.
I think your on the money brother its got 82k on it and ive only just got it so i think an internal look is required
