I have to replace my clutch in my crim, I have a mate who has new clutch plates (fibres, steels ) for a 09 ZX10...
I would imagine this would suit / fit my 05 could anyone shed some info please...
Also has i was chattin with a dude at EC yesty and he reckons the way to go is a dampner plate (race kit stuff).
Gives u more clutch off the line and helps a heap with race starts.
Being a slipper, What sort of $$$ am i lookin at?? I reckon it won't be cheap.
Once again any info would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers

The 05 zx10r already has the damper plate, the later models don't. The tip with the later models is to put an 05 clutch pack in them.
I replaced my std fibres and clutch springs with a set of Kevlar EBC kit.

You probly won't need the steel plates, just fibres and heavier springs (the ebc ones are 10% harder than the stock).
I still have the orig steels in mine (its Johns ex race bike), they just need a bit of scuffing to get any glazing / hot spots off them every now and then.
Check the thickness with a vernier if you have one..

Yep agreed the steels in your model are the hot tip for the later model racebikes. Without that judder plate the bike snatches and lifts off the line which makes you back off to much. Race starts improve significantly once you put a 04-05 clutch pack in it ( not that I have done it

)
Martin should be able to sort you out if your just after new fibers
