Hi guy's and gal's. I've left it way too late to get my pink slip and have been told i need to get a blue slip. As i'm fixing up my bike myself i'd like to be able to roll up and get it passed straight away! What i haven't been able to determine anywhere is just what are the minimum requirements to get a bike passed for a NSW blue slip? The other question i have is after a blue slip do i need a pink slip as well or just the blue slip to get my bike back on the road. I don't want to do too much to it as i'm undecided if i want to turn it into a project (that's still rideable everyday) or to get it back to original running stock. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Don't need a pink slip if you have the Blue. Thats all I can input. Sorry.

I had to get a blue slip about 4 years ago. They wanted the complete stock exhaust, original fender, mirrors, all lights functioning and everything else to be working as per the manufacturers original supply of the bike to Australian OEM standards. The person I took it too said they had to supply a photo to the RTA blah blah blah... Road it back home and swapped the pipe, fender back etc etc.
Where are you located? Someone on here may be able to offer advice on a place for a blue slip that may be more 'helpful' than where I went

From what I gather when I bluesliped mine, it's pretty much like the pink-slips like reasonable tyres working lights, blinkers, doesn't blow excesive smoke, working brakes and doesn't leak exesive oil. They also do a check on the engine block number and frame number to check basically the bike isn't stolen. Also if you were not the last to register the bike you will need a receipt from the previous owner
