08 ZX10R Akra pipe

Tue Dec 14, 2010 10:17 pm

Hey guys,

Been thinking about it for a while now and not that overly impressed with the M4 GP pipe i got on mine. Been thinking about swapping it out for an Akrapovic with Link pipe.

Found one here for good price

Anyone able to give me some advice on what they think about the akra and how it compares to the M4. Also any better places to buy from ? Ive bought from these guys before and they are top notch, took about 3 weeks to get my Yoshimura when i ordered from them. Flat rate of $80 to Aus for my large orders

If you want something closer to a full system, get the Akra + midpipe! It'll definitely give you more hp than the M4 GP (and it looks heaps better too IMO).
I wouldn't use the M4 with the link pipe because that little can won't generate enough back pressure to give you a decent low torque so in the end you might end up losing more than you gained.

As for price, I'd say it's pretty much average... it will depend on what they'll charge you for shipping I guess.

Other than that, I'd consider Leo Vince as well. They're having a killer sale on selected shops and you can pretty much pick up a full system for a bit more than that can is gonna cost you, less if you add the midpipe!

I already have the m4 on mine atm, but i am swapping it out to get the Akra instead. I just really wanted to know a good average price or cheap place that sells them mostly.

Motomummy have them for $800 delivered with all the bits and pieces!

Yeah slip on and a link pipe is all i want. I think the stock headers are sufficient for my needs.
