Ninja 250r aftermarket exhaust

Fri Nov 12, 2010 9:24 pm

Need some advice!!

I just purchased a 2008 ninja 250 and as many may know the thing is QUITE. It desperately needs some more noise from the exhaust- especially so cars can hear! Can I achieve a louder noise with just a slip on? Full system? What brands? Thanks for all future replies!

They are quite quiet. For my money I'd save up for a larger bike when I come off the restricted licence. But if the exhaust is a major issue (been there) I'd go to your local wreckers and see what they've got. A lot of L and P platers trash their 250s (after putting aftermarket exhausts on). If you put a free flowing exhaust on, you'll need to get the bike tuned to match the exhaust. Otherwise you're just loud and slow... buy a Harley :D

Slip-on 8) If you go full system you'll need rejetting etc etc. There are a few different types on ebay but for the price I reckon this one would be worth a look, give you some sound and not hurt the hip pocket too badly:

Stick with stock the noise the slip ons make on those bikes is dam right annoying like a 4 stoke lawn mower...

Spend the coin on some braided brake lines and sintered pads...
