Hey guys, due to my big dopey feet, i need to lower my gear lever so i can change up without lifting my whole leg.
I don't wanna make any stupid mistakes like someone else
ahem... ment... ahem
If i increase the rod length.
Will that have an affect on the shaft movement?
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Cheers, Vince

By increasing the rod length do you mean making a longer rod? or if you are just adjusting it, it will be fine. Making a new one too long may make the lever/clevis and rod have longer, shorter throw or just does nothing might be the result.

only gonna adjust it a little.
i'm 6foot 4 which means the leaver is in a realy awkward position.
shouldn't take much to make it comfortable though.

Go for it, I had to do that to the gear lever and rear brake lever on most of my bikes.

just unbolt the gear leaver and pull it off and shift it a notch or 2..
That's how I was shown to adjust mine by the guys at the superbike school.. worked a treat...
