Has anybody had there rear wheel HP checked before modifications on a 2003 to 2006 Z1000? According to the service manual Aussie Z's have a higher HP output than the U.S. model. This i believe is due to the ECU or possibly because it's Australian. I had mine dynoed before the mods and it was 121 HP to the rear wheel, this is at 4600 feet altitude. Of course dynoes vary so unless we had a direct comparrison it is really hard to tell. Remember a Jim Beam and a good brew enhance the tuning experience. If one is good 10 is better.

I like your thinking oldman

The way you add a brew to every post that is........ and now a jimmy as well

my old (03) Z1000 did 123HP at the wheel with stock pipes and airbox lid mod.
we had 3 zx10r 05 models all within 1 HP of each other at 155HP at rear wheel on the same dyno same day.
theres a bit of comparison for you.
my guess is that we would have been 500Feet above sea level.

I know Belco is a hole, but it's not
that deep

It is about 600
metres above sea level.

I wish i could have a ZX10r but my back will not take the riding position. Sounds like the HP is pretty close. I think it is the Calif. model as it had the fuel condensor under the seat, (I removed it as I could not fit my beer in the storage compartment). Thanks for the info.
