After PI the ZX6 needs tyres so we're looking at what to chuck on it but there's not much good quality stuff going cheap at the moment. MCAS have Racetechs for $469 fitted....but....they only have 190 rears in stock.
So....the question is..what are your opinions on throwing a 190 on the back of the 600. I ued to use 190 rennsports on the back of the ZX9 and they were fine so I'm thinking this could be a possibility. Spoke to Galvins and they said not a good idea but then they probably have to say that. Then again they know a shitload more than most so they are probably right.
My alternative is Craig White, probably for a set of BT003's. Don't want to run the slicks again because you don't get much out of them. Actually given that Chris is riding it I might need to nobble him so I might tell him to run Macadams

the rensports arent a very wide tyre. i think they'd be fine. but same as above, i have no right to say so.
they runn 200's on supersports, surely a 190 will be fine.
chuck knobbies on it, they he'll be able to get it off the grass when he gets run wide...

mcas has supercorsas pro's at 459 fitted, or should have, I got them for my bike not long ago.

190's are fine. I dont know what everyone is so concerned about.
It's a bee's dick of a difference and you may fine Chris will have more available grip at full lean. which is not so great for you Glenno

I got a 190 Pilot Race on the cbr 600, can't fault it.

OK Macadams it is then.
Yeah i was thinking the 190's are fine. As Wattie said the 190 in the Rennies was a pretty thin tyre anyway so i presume the Racetechs are the same.

Glen we couldn't fault the 003's & they were good enough for the 600 shoot out this year
If I wasn't running the slicks I'd be on the 003's...PM sent for more info

I reckon you'll get 4 maaaaybe 5 out of the racetecs/supercorsas mines rooted after 3 with road riding thrown in... But I'd give the 003 a go...

White has 003's for $450 a set (fitted) - I think they're 190's, not 180's, but I'd have no concerns about giving them a go.

190 in a road tyre definitely not as it with mushroom on the sides due to the soft sidewalls on road tyres. I have run a D209 190 on the rear and was great but thay have very firm sidewalls that support the tyre, same way SS can get away with running 200
Try the new Dunlop GPA's they are the new replacement for the Qualifier RR

is there actual proof of this or is it internets speak?
but have you ever seen the shape of a pilot power? the tread is wider than the rim, and they perform faultlessly in most conditions.
i think its worth a try, With Chris' ability, you could stick macadams on it, he wouldn't know any different and will just go out and carve up anyway.
he is used to bikes moving beneath him, its the best trait to have.

Yep I chucked the 190 on it. As I said the old 9 had the same size rims and a 190 Rennsport was really good on it. If he comes in and says it's horrible we'll chuck something else on the back and I'll keep it for the UnGumby...
