Smitty - looks like you were spot on, but my eyeballing failed.
Mechanic found an earth problem in the indicator that blew a globe - all sorted now.
On a separate but related note she had a big service today (almost $500 all up), and found she had no fork oil!
I'd been riding for who knows how long with just the springs. The seals were a 'if you have time mate' item, as he said with no oil residue on the forks he thought it was just dirt being pushed up and he'd pass it for rego no probs.
Lucky he had time
Handles differently now (after the short home trip assessment), has heavier fork oil than normal - gonna have to get used to it again
