i have a zx7r 1997 model, and when i go to start it, sometimes it wont start at all, all it makes is a clicking sound under my seat, then when i pump the clutch and press the starter button it kicks into life? i dont know if its a dodgy battery or what, i had the battery fully charged, and left it disconnected when it sits in the garage so it wont go flat. has any one else hd these kind of problem before??
cheers nathan

Heya Nathan,
- the sound is from under the seat or down near the engine?
- are you trying to start the bike in gear with clutch in or in neutral with side stand up?
- without starting the bike (i presume in the morning), pull the clutch in and try to roll the bike forward. If it dosnt move then the clutch plates have bonded together. Usualy it free's up with a really good push.
- does the bike after after starting 'jumped' forward a bit when clicking into first gear.
- have you change to a diffent engine oil?
Reason for these questions is that if the starter is clicking then, after pumping the clutch lever (to free the plates/springs) the starter motor would be able to crank the engine. I'd say change your engine oil and see if theres any changes after a couple of days. Hope it helps!
