I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but what polarity is the rear tail light bulb? Does it still dim if the wires are the otehr way round?
What condition is the indicator relay in? If the relay is drawing too much current, it may steal current from the next circuit?
Have you tried connecting the tail light negative direct to earth rather than the wiring lume?
