Hi i have a 2000 model 9 (89000k's) and she always runs approx 65/69, have a mate who just purchased a 2002 F1 (20000k's).
After a 2300k ride and riding both bikes, couldnt help notice the F1 running on average 84/85!!!
Just thought why the difference? 15/20 is a fair bit warmer!! Any info be great thx.

My 01 model sits on 85 . Maybe your gauge is reading wrong ?

It'll be the thermostat. The OEM thermostat opens at around 80 degrees. My F1 has an aftermarket thermostat that was put in as a temporary fix whilst on a long ride, which opens at 65. I've got an OEM to replace it (when I've got time). With a radiator guard (and OEM thermostat) my 9 runs at 84 degrees on the highway. Without the radiator guard it runs at 81-82.
