For general Technical and Performance Discussions

Dammit my thread got locked, and I missed all the fun.
For anyone interested we did a day trip to Tintaldra on Saturday and I went past a sign that said Great Dividing Range 1250m. Didn't seem like there was any reduction in performance either, although I did have to stop at one stage.
Only to take a pic though...
...as you were

thought i'd go back and read the previous thread to see what this was about.
what i thought was going to be a huge technical/mechanical read turned out being one of the funniest shit slinging matches i've ever seen.
just plain funny!!
glad your ride went well and the bike performed bogan. i would have hated to see the result if it didn't
now where can i get some of this aircraft kero everyones talking about???

Same place you buy your yak fat from.

that aircraft kero is *THE SHIZZLE* !!!
Glad to hear your finely-tuned and race-ready bike ran OK up in those mountains mate.
Peace & Love to all my aircraft kero converts. Try sniffing it after a spicy Chilli Con Carne !

Jeez guys I completely missed that other thread, what a hoot...especially as I'm now reading the thread in the Kawiriders Forum (also a hoot).
HTF did that happen without me noticing? That guy had all the bad aspects of certain other departed members...but without any redeeming features (at all).

i call bull shit , i re tune my bike every 300 metres of elevation change , you all full of shit !
Thu Feb 19, 2009 11:56 pm
300m of altitude change? pfft, lazy prick, my carbs come off every time the neighbours cat farts near my garage.

So was that altitude or attitude?
If it's altitude I'm screwed as I live approx 600m above sea-level, I work at around 10m above sea level AND MY BIKE IS FUEL INJECTED so no carbs to take off. I can try pulling the FI off, but there has to be a guaranteed performance benefit, at least better performing tappets.
If it's attitude then I'm also screwed. I'm tired and sick at the moment and cranky as. If the FI has to come off after every mood swing and cranky attack I may as well just take it off and leave it on my desk.
