Hi Guys,
I am fairly new to the forums but have been perusing through them relentlessly over the past few weeks. I am in the process of converting my '04 ZX10 to a track bike so I don't risk my life trying to satisfy my cravings on the road. Recently I have acquired an Ohlins damper from an '08 model which, with what I thought would be the addition of a new fork leg/triple clamp bracket, would easily be adaptable to my bike. But here lies the issue ... I have not been able to find any kit that will make this possible. I have called some bike shops to see if they could help me but to no luck.
Do any of you guys know a straight forward way around this, aside from manufacturing a custom bracket to suit? Any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan.

No way around it that i know of mate.
And i must tell you that the stock ohlins on the 07 and 08 suck the big one.
You'd be much better off with an after market one for your bike.
ohhh and Welcome

I think you might find it is too short to act as a fork or side mount and will have to be mounted as per the std one, on the tank bolts and the head stem bolt.
A mounting kit for the ohlins, or similar sized damper, may need to be bought..

Thanks guys ... I am waiting to hear back from a bike shop that may be of some assistance. Looks like I may have to also get the thing revalved with heavier oil too ... all thanks to KRudd's cash bonus!!!
