Hey all,
Now after my spill last weekend not sure what to make of this... After I removed the left crash holder I found a broken part underneath that seems to be a heat shield or sorts??? Not entirely sure... Any need to worry about it? Its only broken at the bottom... See pics
Ive also attached a pic of the crash Frame. Whats the best way to straighten this? The bar between the holders is slightly bent as well. Same fix?
Cheers

After some research... Its the engine mount frame!

ouch...

i would be looking for a different brand crash knob, if thats what happens with a 30km/hr fall in the grass.
might want to hunt down a wrecker fpr that part.
thats a bitch of a thing.

Good example why Oggys aren't always wise.
When the bike actually falls onto the crash this sort of thing can happen, whereas if the bike has forward momentum as it lands it reduces the pressure to the mount point and just grinds the crash.
Surely you aren't up for a new frame?

looks like a replaceable part of the frame, get on US ebay for a replacement part, should be OK.
I dont fit crash's to the 12, as I have heard they do more damage etc to frame and mounts, at least it will just rash up fairings if it goes down..

Nah, just the engine mounting plate... Like you said it was more of a sideways fall than a slide as I was cruising along the grass and hit a ditch that I didnt see

The boys at the Sydney WGM gave me some tips so Ill hunt around! Ill let you know how I go!
