just replaced clutch cable

hi guys and girls first post here and im looking for some help with my ZXR250C i just replaced my clutch cable with a A model cable cable it was about 3mm longer than the C model clutch cable now when i start the bike and put it into gear it stalls i have it adjusted correctly i can hold the clutch in with the bike in gear and start it soon as i even the slightest bit release the lever it stalls i think it could have something to do with the saftey feature in the clutchlever how can i fix this?

sounds like your clutch switch is playin games maby? make shore its connected properly (its up on the clutch lever),
if not from what i understand you put a A model cable on a C model????
if the switch is ok put the right cable on

i just put the old cable back on and still no good

how bloody embarrasing no friggen wonder it keeped on dying i had the kick stand down now i feel like a real dick head! the kick stand was triggering the safey feature

is your clutch switch connected ok?

nah the mechanic serviced my carby's and on the work form he wrote dodgy starter how i need to start it is hold my thumb on the start button and pull the clutch in untill the bike starts there something wrong with the clutch perch i think its called?
