ZXR400 'lectrics.

Hey guys, Riding "the lovely & talented" Janelle's Scoot to work the other week. I had some dramas. Bloody thing stalled & i had to push start it, no biggie (it's been sitting a fair bit the last 12 months or so) anyway half way to work (10 mins on freeway) I slow for the Brisgestion at a roundie & the phuka poop's itself. Dead. Not even click click from the solenoid pulling in. Push it rev clackka out of it & it gets me too work. Left it there & picked it up in the KwakSack (Hiace bus) the next day.
Now pretty much the same thing happened on the "tiggr Roadtrip" with Dave3 on Tiggr. That was completely dead battery .....
so rip the battery out & multi it & .................

17 Volts ????????????????

We looking at Reg/rect or what ?. Does anyone know what else will fit it ?. A zxr4 one would cost way too much being special order grey import blah blah.

Sounds like a reg/rec to me Ponti. I dunno what else will fit it, but Gosford Motorcycles (ironically the same place that replaced the battery in Tiggr when it died) have a reputation for supplying aftermarket reg/rec's (maybe only POS Honda's, I can't be sure now, but they got a good wrap in TW a few years back). Maybe give Noel a call on 02 43257649 and see if he can help you out.

Noel also wrecked a zxr250 (you got the discs from it) so if the zxr250 one will fit it's bigger brother he may have a second hand one in stock too.
