Hi people,
Any one know if a current model pipe, such as ZX9R, ZRX, GSXR would fit to a GPZ900R? Can be standard or aftermarket.
It is getting hard to source original pipes and the current ones should be better / lighter anyway.
Slight modifications are OK.
Thanks

Mine's running a 2 1/4" universal slip on with a custom mid pipe (made my local Carline exhaust shop) in stainless.
Total cost was about $300.00 and has a pretty nice note on her- not too loud yet you know it's there.
You can get later model OEM cans that have a slip joint ie some 600's etc but normally the mounting bracket is not suitable.
(Check ebay for Yoshi cans.. A few around ATM cheap with minor scratches etc which can be polished out.)
You want 2 1/4" inlet (57.5mm) universal fit. If you take bike to local exhaust shop a new mid pipe quick and easy to make for a good exhaust fitter particularly if you remove OEM mid/can for them.
Make sure you get a can with a universal type moveable bracket. Ie you can mount anywhere on the muffler body.
Hope it helps

Thanks for that.
Sorry, I should have been more exact. Unfortunately I have no exhaust at all, so would need a complete system. So I am hoping that another bikes system may fit with modifications if necessary.

Staintune will make anything you want if you take the bike into them, I believe.

That would be great.

That is the more expensive option.
I would rather buy something that fits or can be modified to fit second hand.

Post up the measurements of the GeePeeZee exhaust ports (dia, port centre spacing) & distance between bottom of exhaust port & sump & I'll check the stuff I have lying around.
Does the GPZ have the camchain in the middle or on the side?

I will do that. Unfortunately I do not have access to the GPZ for a couple of weeks. Camchain is on the left hand side looking at it while sitting on it.

Cam chain on the left side.
