hey guys...
collected my two brothers can this morning... removed the old muffler... piece of piss but geez its heavy!!!
dealing with the bracket from the pillion foot peg however is another matter...
they say to remove both OEM rubber grommets and install 2 spacers that are supplied...
first of all i cant get the back spacer in properly as it seems half a mm too big in diameter...
secondly, the bolt they supply is not long enough to protrude from the back spacer to allow securing with the flange nut suppied...
the specs say 60mm bolt and i have checked the length of the bolt supplied (60mm) so they havnt supplied me with the wrong hardware...
here are some pics to show you what i mean....
thanks for any help in advance guys...
unfortunately it looks like im the only one to install a two brothers pipe on this bike so far.... so im the guinea pig....

Simple, "loose a spacer" but check that the swing arm will clear the can... there should be enough sideways movement in the can to do this

Like Rob said lose the spacers or muck around with different combinations of spacers ie inside , outside etc. See where it naturally wants to sit, make sure it doesn't hit anything and use whatever spacers suit.
Should look and sound pretty good when you're done.

i cant loose the inside spacer because then the flange nut will disappear way down inside the footpeg bracket as the space for the assembly is completely hollow... you could never tighten it all the way and if you could, you would certainly never be able to loosen it...
i could see if i can loose the outside spacer ... but this is the result....
ive checked the instructions and i have the spacers in the corrct position.... got a mate over now so we'll have a look at it

- here u see how hollow it is..... therefore losing the back spacer would result in the flange nut being buried inside and bugger me if u could get it tightened or out if you needs to...

so think we've got it fixed... we're just not gonna fit the flange nut on the back....
the rear spacer is such a tight fit that there is no movement in the system at all...
i will tighten again once im home from work this afternoon and will continue to do so over the next week or so....
btw it sounds fucking horny as!!! deadset give me a boner.... doesnt sound like a 250 anymore....
will post piccies after i wash her!!!
cheers guys.....

No advice from me sorry, just here to say that I sympathise with you- I can remember putting my TBR pipe on the ER- traumatised me for life!

On the bright side though, once it was actually on the noise deafened me for life!
